I think Honey was also cut from the setlist
I thought Daron was talking about the current collage protests before Hypnotize?
To the comment before mine: yes, Daron did mention the college protests before playing Hypnotize. However, I don’t think it’s a criticism of the people for being willfully ignorant in Azerbaijan’s crimes while the sensation remains in Israel’s involvement in Gaza. It feels more accurate to say Daron was criticizing the media for blindsighting the people about Azerbaijan or Armenia by never discussing or sensationalizing them as much as Israel or Palestine. Honest question: when was the last time you heard much coming out of Armenia without having to actively search for it?
I believe people likely mistook that criticism as an attack on their judgment. Undoubtedly, practically everyone here sides and supports with Armenia. I think what Daron was trying to say was that the anger wasn’t as multifaceted as it should have been; while caring for the sanctity of humanity in wartorn Gaza is good, it would be *great* to show that same support and protest for other communities and countries experiencing similar if not worse treatment.
